At this point of his career Al Green was mak­ing gospel tunes and had become an ordained pas­tor of the Full Gospel Taber­na­cle in Mem­phis in 1976. Thereby this would prob­a­bly be regarded as — gasp — gospel. Gospel with drum machine and synths. Oh, and there’s also a music video.
