Discovered this classic post-disco/pop-track only last year and it instantly became one of my favorites. When I heard it last week on radio when visiting random pizzajoint, I was surprised to hear the chorus in the shape of “European Queen”. Then again, why not localize tracks to different markets like any other product? The video is fun. Especially the horn player who doesn’t actually play it but instead wriggles & twists due effects casted upon him.

A must track to celebrate May Day eve is Finnish cover of Opus’ Live is Life. I’ve been kind a fond of Villi Yö (“Wild Night”), a guilty pleasure if you must. Especially this version and the italodisco one: Stargo — Live Is Life. Have a great and wild night! Me I’m going to spend my Walpurgisnacht at Berlin this year.
