Dj Newtown — 2005 (909state’s Acid House Remix 1988) (320kb mp3) — jacking house, ah oh uh. Albeit a bit short one maybe. So like 1988.

Dj Newtown — 2005 (909state’s Acid House Remix 1993) (320kb mp3) — this one’s got pretty massive warehouse Roland TB 303/ TB 303 emulation soundwall. Slightly distorted drums are mixed bit low in volume. Still, rough.

Plus, a third one.

Antoni Maiovvi — Velocity Central (320kb mp3) — modern italo disco from the man who had a minor hit back in 1984 with “(Rubbersex) Lover”. Maiovvi’s got an album out on Seed Records.

Back in late 80s they used to have acid house remixes of boy pop band tunes in Britain. That’s something I didn’t know back then but Bros as a phenomenon was familiar to me because of this Finnish popular culture magazine (not talking about that particular issue).

New Finnish release! All the music on this record are sampled or influenced from a Finnish movie “Lentävät Luupäät” (1984). Here is a vid I made a while ago. It combines the best moments of the movie. (don’t bother unless you understand Finnish.)

The movie includes this infamous bassline by Aarno Raninen. Big up for releasing this!
