Paula Koivuniemi — Sata Kesää, Tuhat Yötä (Edit) (320k)

With this edit I did just some minor “modernization” of the sound + lil something else, fairly simple stuff put together quickly during one summer afternoon in 2008. Notice that “Sata Kesää, Tuhat Yötä” (“One Hundred Summers, One Thousand Nights”) is a cover version of Claudja Barry’s “(Boogie Woogie) Dancin’ Shoes” which itself is a prime disco cut.

George Clinton — Erotic City (Sasso Re-Edit) (2006)

George Clinton — Erotic City (Sasso Re-Edit) (320)

Uploading — at least to youtube — Prince’s original version of Erotic City is out of the question , so here is the George Clinton’s version edited by Sasso. Perhaps unnecessary edit but nevertheless useful. If you ever become tired to Prince’s falsetto you can play out loud this version as it is faithful to the original.

Erotic City’ is definitely in my personal all-time top 10 or something like that.

The Alan Parsons Project — The Voice (House Mix)

The Alan Parsons Project — The Voice (House Mix) (320 kbps) (divshare) (mediafire)

An edit of The Voice by The Alan Parsons Project is something that I’ve been thinking about for a long time. You know the Amplified Orchestra style edits: just put a little emphasis on drums (perhaps an added 4/4 kick), maybe raise bpm a bit + not too much warping and it’s done. The original features awesome vocals sang by Lenny Zakatek (of Gonzalez) and nice percussions/bassline. Not so much prog in it but rather discoish.

Remember to check the clip in which they performed “live” on Spanish tv.

Kenny G — Help Yourself To My Love (1984)

September 22nd, 2009

This remix should be called “So, I cut the saxophone and now it’s alright”. Yeah, ‘Help Yourself To My Love’ without saxophone sounds actually quite good. This isn’t the elevator type of music he is spesialized later on but more on the funk/r&b. Probably because of Kashif who produced the album. #9 of KynyNasty Vol. 1.
