Sud­denly, this was play­ing in my head today, after a long long while..Italo influ­enced finnish new wave elec­tro disco.

I guess it’s pos­si­ble and totally ok to rec­om­mend this book even though I myself haven’t even read it yet. It’s about V-O-C-O-D-E-R-S ->

Pio­neer of micro­house music; Isolée, is play­ing a live set first time ever in Fin­land next sat­ur­day.

He’s prob­a­bly most well known for this “Beau Mot Plage”–release, which is cred­ited to be the first micro­house record ever to reach the club charts (with a lit­tle help from Freeform Five).

For me the track above (“Lost”) was the first one I heard from him (I think it was year 2003..) and I was imme­di­ately attracted by it’s glitchy and obscure soundscapes.

His full lenght albums; “Rest” & “We Are Mon­ster”, are both very rec­om­mend­able pieces to be famil­iar­ized with.

Dzei & Posten will be play­ing music today in Helsinki. Today: thurs­day 19th of August 2010. Place: Sil­ta­nen. Time: from 9pm to 2am. Vari­ety of music includ­ing but not lim­ited to: slo mo disco, house, boo­gie, electro-funk, synth pop, and AOR.

Dur­ing this sum­mer Stones Throw will release a col­lec­tion from the elec­tronic music pio­neer Bruce Haack named “Farad: The Elec­tronic Voice” (accord­ing to Ama­zon it should be out on 30th of August). Accord­ingly to the name of the album it will fea­ture tracks where Haack works with a vocoder. The record­ings are from 1970–1982. Instant buy when in sight!?
