Brother S. Cutugno penned this AOR choon for Toto. Released in 1989. Guitar’s top notch. Now re-edited by KynyNasty.

The World Class Wreckin’ Cru — Turn Off The Lights (320 kbps) (re-up)

The same year Dre’s N.W.A. delivered the album that defined gangsta rap came this slow electro-ballad that reached the R&B top 40 charts. Here Dre states himself as ”…The master of seduction…“

Yeah, and later Master P sampled this track for his song Ice Cream Man.

Laid Back… With KynyNasty

With a couple of rarities (Kerim Khan, Phil Steele), exclusive track (Topless), essentials (Holy Ghost!, Ali Love) and all-time personal favorites (Laid Back, Seymour Bits, Roy Davis Jr) I’m quite comfortable with this new live dj mix. Electro soul satisfaction guaranteed.

M.D.M.C. — How About It? (Electro-Mix) (1983)

M.D.M.C.

M.D.M.C. — How About It? (Electro-Mix) (7″) (320 kbps)

Acronym not related to chemicals, M.D.M.C. stands for “Modern Danceable Music Company”. Dutch italo disco with two chicks, much like Fun Fun. Oh yeah and produced (and remixed) by one named Ben Liebrand. The 12″ version of this song can be found on his Grand 12 Inches vol. 2 –compilation. Ridiculously awesome scratches!

Whodini — Rap Machine (1983)

Whodini — Rap Machine (320) (mediafire)
Been enjoying the new Mesak LP which is out now on Harmönia. Listen to the teaser here. Buy the vinyl and you’ll get 320 kbps mp3 download for free. That’s the way to do it, I like it.

Whodini is surely one of my favorite rap-groups of the eighties. Here’s a track which could be filed under “proto skweee”. Or perhaps we should ask what the pioneers think of that.
