March was the last proper winter month so accordingly it’s slightly more on the deep and introvert moods with these songs. Bit delayed listing, I know I know. But yeah, this what I also have to say: really do prefer whatpeopleplay over beatport when buying digital releases. Heard some convincing words from some reliable source about this… some shady things apparently. I do reserve the right to change my mind about this, though.

Soundcloud group Deep Disco (320 Kbs) offers lots of free downloads of underground disco, cosmic disco, nu disco, space funk, rare disco, re-edits, obscure Italo, etc. edit tracks. All the tracks go through moderating process to maintain quality criteria set by the moderators of the group. As the name of the group hints, it’s 320kb mp3′s they offer.

Dj Newtown – 2005 (909state’s Acid House Remix 1988) (320kb mp3) – jacking house, ah oh uh. Albeit a bit short one maybe. So like 1988.

Dj Newtown – 2005 (909state’s Acid House Remix 1993) (320kb mp3) – this one’s got pretty massive warehouse Roland TB 303/ TB 303 emulation soundwall. Slightly distorted drums are mixed bit low in volume. Still, rough.

Plus, a third one.

Antoni Maiovvi – Velocity Central (320kb mp3) – modern italo disco from the man who had a minor hit back in 1984 with “(Rubbersex) Lover”. Maiovvi’s got an album out on Seed Records.

“Kitkaliitto is a collaborative band of 3 friends from Helsinki to flesh out their ideas in music and visual arts.” First release from the guys came out quite recently on Kann Records: the Swamp EP. Deeper territories of house with some hints of techno, and definitely jazz. Get the digital release from Beatport, Whatpeopleplay or Junodownload. As for the physical copies, VINYL/WAX I’m referring to here, it’s a limited pressing but Juno Records got some as does Hardwax. And then there’s always Discogs. In Finland I’d go to Stupido.
